If you’ve always wanted to visit Iceland or you’re looking for a cheap flight to Europe, 2014 could be your year. Icelandair announced Monday they’ll be operating two flights per week from YVR to Iceland between May 13 and October 12.

Icelandair offers some of the most competitive transatlantic airfares around. They also allow passengers to book a stopover of up to seven days in Iceland at no additional cost. This means if you’re planning to go to Amsterdam, London, Madrid or Paris, you can explore a weird and wonderful island nation on your way. You might even see Björk at the Blue Lagoon!
