Vancouver Farmers Market

Farmers Market enthusiasts will be pleased as two new neighbourhood farmers markets in Yaletown and Mt. Pleasant have been launched.

Vancouver Farmers Markets has seen exponential growth over the past two years, jumping from five to eight summer markets since a pilot market in Kerrisdale was added in 2012

VFM planned to introduce a single new market this season – a Sunday Eastside location – but an opportunity arose to be a part of Viva Vancouver by opening a short season market in Yaletown.

Opening a new market involves extensive preparation, from surveying local businesses, to gauging the interest of residents, to looking for opportunities to cross-promote and build support.

Mt Pleasant Farmers Market

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. each week
Guelph Street between 7th and 8th Avenues, on the paved play area between Mt. Pleasant Elementary and Guelph Park.

Yaletown Farmers Market

Thursdays, August 15 – September 26, 2013
2 – 6 p.m. each week
Mainland Street between Davie and Helmcken at the Yaletown-Roundhouse Canada Line Stop.
