10,000 runners participated in today’s SeaWheeze lululemon Half-Marathon, and for many crossing that finish line after the 21.1 km trek meant a feat of personal mental and physical endurance. However, for one lucky couple, it meant so much more.
Upon crossing the finish line near Jack Poole Plaza, this female runner was greeted by her boyfriend who was down on one knee and holding up a marriage proposal sign. Talk about transitioning between a runner’s high to a life high.
And for the record, her answer was yes.

It should be no secret by now that the annual SeaWheeze lululemon Half-Marathon is one of Vancouver’s best running races. It is not just any road race, but you get a bang out of every buck you spend on the registration fee as it is much more than just a 21.1 km long Half Marathon.
Besides their incredible race package and giveaways, this year’s 10,000 runners were also treated to an outdoor concert at Stanley Park and, of course, a lot of free yoga. After all, the race is organized and sponsored by Vancouver’s very own lululemon.
