Our team was recently invited down to a Vancouver Canadians game at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium. What an awesome night out we had! If you haven’t been to a game at The Nat, make sure it’s on your list of things to-do this summer.

For starters, $12.50 for a few hours of entertainment is probably one of the best deals you’ll find anywhere in Vancouver, and it’s perfect for the whole family.

Northwest League Champions

The Canadians (C’s) are Canada’s only Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliate team, for the Toronto Blue Jays, and are looking to three-peat as Northwest League Champions.

Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium

Situated across the street from Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, the stadium was built in 1951 and was originally named Capilano Stadium, after a local brewery. From 1951 to 1969, the stadium was home to the Vancouver Capilanos and Vancouver Mounties teams.

In 1978, it was renamed Nat Bailey Stadium, nicknamed “The Nat”, to honour Vancouver’s Nat Bailey, a longtime supporter of baseball who did everything from selling peanuts to overseeing professional baseball operations. That same year, the Vancouver Canadians of the Pacific Coast League were brought in and have called the stadium home since. The Canadians started out playing in the Pacific Coast League and in 2000 switched to the Northwest League, where they remain today.

The stadium has a capacity of 5,132 and we’re told they have plans of increasing a couple more thousand in the near future.
