Where Gastown meets Railtown meets Japantown (bet many didn’t even know we had one), Cuchillo serves up Modern Pan-Latin tapas with unique and classic cocktail creations in the sexiest room in the city.
“Cuchillo” (Spanish for “Knife”) is a project Stu Irving (former co-owner/chef at Cobre and now chef at the the famous No. 5 Orange) and John Cooper. Located at 261 Powell Street (near Main Street), many will definitely see it as welcome addition to the neighbourhood. However, protesters will be on hand starting tonight as they view at as another restaurant gentrifying their neighbourhood. These are the same protesters that picketed outside PIDGIN.
Regardless of the protesters, head on over to Cuchillo as they serve up classic & unique cocktail creations and all the “modern pan-latin” tapas that made Stu Irving a household name in Gastown.
