The unique pop-up patio seating will be called Corduroy Road.
With a bright, deck-like appearance, Corduroy Road will bring a section of the roadway up to curb level and include seating for people to pause, relax, and take in the city. The installation’s name, Corduroy Road, refers to rough cut plank and log roads once used as temporary passages in the Pacific Northwest.
Corduroy Road is a collaboration between designers Hapa Landscape Architecture Collaborative and Fricia Construction, which will build the structure by June 29.
