Alopecia is an autoimmune condition wich causes hair loss, affecting 2% of the population (about 12,000 people in Vancouver!). Even though it’s “just hair”, it’s devastating and has caused people to sink into depression, and even become suicidal.
Two bald girls with alopecia, Tanya Huang and Erin Leach, recently made huge strides embracing what they have, and started the Bold Alopecia Movement (BAM) to create positive awareness and help people with alopecia feel better as they are. Combining their resources in fashion and music, they bring you an incredible night where you can party while giving to a great cause.
The line up of the night includes a men and women’s hair and bow tie fashion show by Knot Theory and Suki’s (awesome we got Vancouver’s biggest hair salon to support people without hair), and two local bands performing live: Their There, and Doghoow &Dahlia.
