New places. New faces. Real dilemmas. Big Coat Productions and W Network are thrilled to bring the Gemini-nominated Love It or List It to the West Coast featuring Vancouver hosts Jillian Harris and Todd Talbot.

Love It Or List It has been a tremendous success for W Network and the time is right to launch the brand to our enthusiastic Vancouver audience.” said Vibika Bianchi, Vice President, Original Programming, Lifestyle, Reality, Factual Entertainment, Corus Entertainment. “The Vancouver series is true to the original but with charismatic local hosts and different property challenges it definitely has a west coast flavour.”

“It’s very exciting to be launching Love It Or List It Vancouver,” says Big Coat Productions Co-Founder and CEO Maria Armstrong. “As far as we know, this is the first Canadian reality/lifestyle series of its kind to be franchised into a second city (think CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, in the USA). Vancouver is the perfect setting for a brand new show.”

Love It or List It Vancouver adds a fresh spin with its new stars. Local realtor Todd Talbot will face off against Vancouver designer and TV personality Jillian Harris. Jillian has previously charmed audiences with her irrepressible humour and emotional honesty on ABC’s The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. A BC resident with a lifelong passion for all things beautiful, Jillian is an interior designer by trade and can’t wait to share her vision.

“I’m looking forward to helping people uncover the true potential in their homes,” enthuses Jillian. Set in one of Western Canada’s largest real estate markets, each episode will showcase families whose current home no longer suits their needs. Jillian will develop a renovation strategy to help each family love its home again, while Todd embraces the challenge of finding them something new. When homeowners grow discontent, can a creative renovation make them happy again? Or, will they decide to move on? Will they Love It or List It?

Sparks will fly when Jillian uses her design chops against Todd’s marketing savvy to sway the final decision in their favour. “We are thrilled to be working with the entertaining and engaging Jillian Harris, and we’ve found the perfect foil in Todd Talbot,“ says Big Coat Productions Co-Founder and President Catherine Fogarty. “Love It or List It fans will embrace Jillian’s gorgeous new designs and be fascinated as Todd takes them through the ins and outs of real estate in Greater Vancouver.”

Big Coat Productions developed the original Love It Or List It concept in collaboration with W Network. Five successful seasons of the original Toronto edition have been produced in association with W Network and the series has been sold and recognized internationally. Love It Or List It is one of W Network’s top rated shows.

Tune in when Love It Or List It Vancouver premieres January 7, 2013 on W Network at 10pm.

Let us see if Gillian has any really talent.  So far just a pretty face with cheer leader antics.  Not a fan.  Todd seems like a professional with genuine experience.

  • Lois Griffiths

I saw the show last night and thought Jillian and Todd were great.  I am not a fan of how the homeowner’s pretend to be so angry when they clearly are not.

  • Mwalters

A bit too much energy and questionable acting.  This is supposed to be reality TV yet it seems very scripted and unnatural.  I had high hopes for this series but not sure how long I’ll tune in for.

  • RosieM

The show sucks!  Doesn’t even come close to being as good as the orginal Love it or List It.  Jillian and Todd should not be hosting the show.  They try hard, but that is about it!  It was so bad, couldn’t even finish watching it.

  • Annie

I have only seen two shows. While I tried hard not to compare with the original show…..it doesn’t.
The show was ok….but there is really something lacking in Jillian’s designs….they’re mediocre and don’t look professional, nor do they look like they are worth the money spent on them. (sorry….don’t mean to be unkind) =(

  • Teresa Hogan

OMG,SOOOOO UNREAL!!!! NIETHER ONE OF THEM ARE GOOD ACTORS!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! INSULT TO MY INTELLIEGENCE!!!!!!

  • Teresa Hogan

    I WILL NEVER WATCH AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mano

Jillian should takes some tips from Hillary. Jillian’s designs are boring where as you feel like actually living in the redesigned homes of Hillary. The acting of Jillian is so bad. The producers of this show must be not be having long term plans as I can not see anybody wasting their time watching this boring show. Two thumps up to the Toronto show.

  • KMickH

Watching an episode right now. Jillian walked in the front door (into a coat room) and said she loved the character of the home. Uhhhh……you’re in the coat room…
    Todd….love those purple socks you’re wearing tonight…
Absolutely horrible show…….love the original though!

  • Word

    could be better…

  • Ali

I actually like this show.  I think Jillian does a great job redesigning the existing homes and both Todd and Jillian are very likeable.  My 11 year old watches with me and he can’t wait for the next episode.  I just wish they would do a Love it or List it Victoria and they could come and use our home.

  • Wsdg

Agreed. I am at least glad to find out this is a spinoff rather than a replacement of Hillary!

  • S Thompson

Oh people….stop being so critical!!! Stop judging… Jillian is doing great for how much experience she has with this.

**FAKE!!”… I feel ripped off of my hour of Reality TV viewing. Being a fan of the original LIorLI in Toronto (where I am from), I watched the Vancouver premier with great anticipation. During the entire viewing I kept asking myself, “Where have I seen the male homeowner before?” I suspect that besides Todd Talbot (Actor – see IDMB), so is the male home owner. I just don’t know his name or what show I have seen him in. Hostess- Jillian Harris – she didn’t not come across as authentic. So overall, the show appears to be a big acting gig! Beautiful homes though!
