The new Dining Terrace at Richmond Centre is set to open tomorrow, on November 1, 2012. The 44,000 sq. ft. space, in the heart of the mall, brings a new focus on dining ambiance for mall visitors looking for a nosh, nibble, sip or bite. The renovation, which took 15 months to complete, has transformed your typical food court into a feast for the senses. It is now an open concept Dining Terrace complete with reclaimed B.C. wood tables, orange, green, charcoal and grey chairs made out of recycled PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) bottles, natural lighting, original music written exclusively for the new Dining Terrace, and Umi: Japanese Eatery + Udon Bar, the first in Western Canada.
The launch of the Dining Terrace is a part of Richmond Centre’s commitment to the rebirth of retail in Richmond. I
No longer will your experience be synonymous with a regular mall food court. Hence the name change. The Dining Terrace reflects an elevated – both physically and in terms of ambiance – dining experience, and features:
- 18 food retailers (see below)
- organic sorting stations
- enhanced seating & hand wash basins
- plenty of natural light via skylights
- escalator and elevator access
Pinkberry is just one the great new food vendors in the court.
