Poutines in Vancouver: Crave on Main
Crave is a little restaurant on Main street with a cozy back patio and awesome short ribs poutine. The Shorty Poutine is non-traditional, constructed with parmesan truffle fries, short ribs, and short rib jus instead of gravy.
The first thing you’ll notice is the truffle parmesan aroma. The fries are crispy, and tossed really well with salty parmesan cheese shavings and yummy truffle oil. The short rib meat is tender with just enough thick jus to cover the fries.
Some might say this is hardly a poutine since it doesn’t have cheese curds or gravy, but it is truly delicious. It seems like anything with fries, cheese, and sauce can be called a poutine now (at least on the West Coast). You can order this flavourful fancy poutine to share with the table or devour it yourself for $11.
