Electro Busker Vancouver

Vancouver’s premiere electro-busking Astronaut “From the Future” (FTF/Liam Danger Park) will be bald by October. FTF has pledged to donate half of his busking wages during September along with all online donations and all the hair on top of his head to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. FTF will be collecting donations while busking on Granville Street Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and online (facebook.com/frmtheftr).

From the Future plays “dance to work music” which exists only in the now. In a shiny tunic and a homemade space helmet, FTF plays a synthesizer with phat bass and a driving beat to make you conscious of your feet; to make strangers smile for a while. FTF says in the future his music will be available to download, however presently he plays solely live improvised music which only exists in passing moments. While FTF’s venue-less music could often be described as “House without a Home,” On September 29t FTF will be teaming up with the DJs at Vinyl Retro Lounge at 455 Abbott Street in Gastown, for the final fundraiser and head-shave. Tickets will be available directly through FTF while busking or through Facebook. Anyone who is interested in shaving their head in the name of the BC Children’s Hospital should contact FTF through the Facebook page.

Last year the BC Children’s Hospital treated 78,000 children, and in the year 2010, FTF’s music teacher’s son was among those treated. Under the name Liam Danger Park, FTF was part of a team that raised $50,000 through Kelowna Secondary School by the forty hair donors for the BC Cancer Foundation. “I get great inspiration from kids. I am excited to share my wages, hair and music with them if it means giving them more time or motivation to play, ” says FTF.

FTF will be out collecting donations while playing his strange beats on Granville Street every weekend and selling tickets for September 29th music and haircut FUNdraiser show. Ticket revenues, half of FTF’s monthly busking wage and the hair on top of his head will be donated to the BC Children’s Hospital.
