Vancouver’s first video game restaurant and bar opens this weekend

Vancouver Canada News Vancouver’s first video game restaurant and bar opens this weekend

Video game lovers mark down August 25, 2012 on your calendar. The long awaited arrival of EXP Restaurant and Bar is finally here as this Saturday is their soft opening. They promise a grand opening event soon after. There is one catch though, the video game restaurant and bar patrons won’t be allowed to play video games. This is because the province of British Columbia has idiotic liquor licensing laws preventing them to do so. EXP owners are taking the fight to the  government as we reported earlier this year

EXP  is located 309 West Pender.

Hope they get their exemption from the liquor board because it doesn’t make sense that you can drink and gamble your life away at a casino but can’t enjoy a few drinks while harmlessly gaming with friends.

Too stay up to date with all the news check out the EXP facebook page.

Fuck Gregor he’s too busy farming. Vancouver has grown up and it’s about god damn time you review and change the liquor laws!

Good job on blaming the municipal government on a provincial government issue. You are super smart for reading the article, dude.

Gregor is the mayor of our city, you don’t think he funnels information up to the provincial government? Our city has retarded liquor laws…. and Gregor is half the problem…

  • ci8

The technical term is that municipal governments are “creatures” of the province. That language isn’t there just to be cute. The most our Mayor can do is direct a strongly-worded letter.

Gregor has zero say in this.  If you really have to blame a politician blame Christy Clark or the minister in charge Rich Coleman.  My guess it’s mostly a bureaucratic labyrinth to blame.   B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Branch are the ones that should draw your ire.  Phone number:  1-866-209-2111.

Yeah fuck Gregor! It’s not like the city council has tried make the city more fun by having things like food carts, outdoor concerts, movies in the park, or anything like that…

We need to bring back the party of fun, the NPA, because remember when they did so much to make this city fun? REMEMBER??!!
