BC man fills up for gas in garbage bags

News 1130 is reporting that a BC man was seen in Bellingham, Washington filling up gas in black garbage bags. Yep, you read that correctly, a garbage bag. I don’t care what GLAD says about their bags being spill proof, this is unsafe.

The incident took place at a Fred Meyer station. Had it been Costco and we might have seen another round of complaints from our American neighbours (see Bellingham Costco residents complaining about rude Canadian’s and their obsession with milk).

Gas should only be filled up in approved consumer fuel containers, not black garbage bags.

First of all, gas would eat through a garbage bag in seconds, so that isn’t what he was doing. Obviously there was a jerry can in those bags.

Some quality reporting here folks. News1130 said that the man “MAY” have been filling garbage bags with gas, but anyone with half a brain would realize that it’s impossible. He clearly has some sort of container within the garbage bags.

People are so easily manipulated by the news and take it word for word.

Other than Bob, has anyone considered that that there’s most likely a Jerry can in there and that the BC man was just keeping his car cleaner by wrapping the can in a garbage can?Also, what an inconvenience it would be when you’re taking the gas out to pour it into your car…
