STACT Wine Storage Solutions
a Vancouver-based entrepreneur has achieved what few Canadians have done living in Canada: launched a Kickstarter.com campaign.
Jamie Kasza and his company STACT, creators of beautiful wine storage, has raised nearly half his goal of $20,000 through the popular crowd-sourcing site. For years, Jamie, a lover of wine, had a vision to beautify the way wines are stored and displayed inside his Vancouver home. For centuries, storing wine, has been just that – tucked away, or hideously displayed on the wine storage units sold millions of times to consumers around the world.
WIih the online wine industry set to grow by 63% to $6.5B in sales, surpassing the digital music download business this year, Jamie saw the opportunity to attract consumers across North America through his creation, STACT Modular Wine Wall.
Designed by San Francisco-based 2012 ICFF award winner, Eric Pfieffer (http://www.pfeifferlab.com/), STACT allows each bottle to sit comfortably in its own space, as if suspended in mid-air. Cradled by two precision-machined extrusions made of aircraft-grade aluminum, they give bottles a secure place of prominence. This would look good in any room of the house.
