Calling all aspiring stylists! The deadline is  looming for the Vancouver Fashion Showcase’s styling contest for Fashion’s Night Out Vancouver.

The Vancouver Fashion Showcase is hosting a styling contest in promotion of the Vancouver Fashion’s Night Out. This is a chance for new stylists and some fashion talent to be given a spotlight in Vancouver’s competitive fashion industry! Interested? See the details below:

WHO: 

Applicants must be recent graduates (within 2 years) from fashion institutions; students currently in their final years of studies may apply as well.

WHEN

July 18, 2012 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm

HOW

Our panel of judges and member of the advisory board will complete the screening process, judges to select five contestants to go on the competition.

Contestants will receive their contest assignment (a predetermined theme or a key piece) at 12:00 pm the day of the event.  From choice of outfit, accessories, makeup and hairstyle, each contestant will get 5.5 hours to complete the assignment.  There will be photographers on site to do photo shoot on the final work.

Judges will make a decision based on the edited photographs and models showcasing the pieces at the show, based on a set of criteria.  Winner will get to participate in the styling team for FNO on September 6, 2012.

Submission Deadline:  July 1, 2012 – 11:59 pm

All finalists will be contacted by July 6, 2012
