According to Wrenegade on SSP.com it looks like the sister store of Williams-Sonoma & Pottery Barn, West Elm will be opening in the old Shoppers Drug Mart space on South Granville this fall. This will be their first Vancouver location and second in Canada. The other being in Toronto. They have been looking at entering the Vancouver market for quite some time. Now it seems the right location has opened up for them.

For those unfamiliar with West Elm is an upscale retail store featuring contemporary furniture designs and other housewares. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma.

As of right now nothing has been confirmed. We’ll have more on this as it develops.

Do you think Victoria, BC could get a Crate & Barrel or a West Elm?  It’s very expensive to take the ferry over to Vancouver from the island.  All things considered we are the capital of BC, it seems only fair that we have a store too!!
