Music Monday: Sick Vicious

Sick Vicious

Vancouver based hip hop group Sick Vicious have been building a fan base steadily since 2011. The duo, consisting of Jay Lee & Joel ‘JR’ Butler, have been perfecting their craft in the studio, recording and releasing music consistently since the groups inception. Their self-titled mixtape in released in July 2011 garnered them attention for their witty and honest lyricism, coupled with their old-school style beats. They followed that up in November 2011 with another mixtape, ‘Suited & Zooted’ to similar praises. Sick Vicious has big plans for 2012, including their live show debut, as well as much more new music.

Sick Vicious will open for KAi Sky Walker and Indelible, in concert on Thursday June 21st at 9pm. The concert will be held at Fortune Sound Club, tickets are $10 pre-sale, or $12 at the door, with all proceeds being donated to Covenant House Vancouver. Tickets are available at Beat Street, Red Cat, and Zulu Records, as well as Dipt and Livestock.
