This past long weekend grinders got the news they’ve been waiting for. The Grouse Grind officially opened for the summer season on Saturday May 19. Grab your hiking gear and warm up for the great summer of hiking. Just remember to pace yourself and watch out for tourists in flip-flops and high heels.

Elevation Gain: 853 metres (2,800 feet)
Base: 274 metres above sea level (900 feet)

How to get there:
Follow Georgia Street through Stanley Park and across the Lion’s Gate Bridge. Take the North Vancouver exit to Marine Drive, then left up Capilano Road for 5 km (3.1 miles).
