Adera’s near sold-out North Shore project, seven35, is the first Multi-Family LEED for Homes Platinum project in Canada over 10 units, as well as certified Built Green Gold — the first dual certification for a new home project in Canada.

Among seven35’s sustainable features, the Waste Water Heat Recovery System is an innovative feature that preheats domestic hot water and saves homeowners up to 75% in energy costs. The system is the first of its type used in a private residential project in North America.

Eco-conscious materials like low VOC emission carpets, water efficient plumbing fixtures and energy-saving lights were also used in the construction of seven35. The project has accumulated an impressive collection of local, national, and international honours, including an International Gold Nugget Award of Merit for Best On the Boards Multi-Family Community. seven35 is also a CHBA BC Georgie Award Winner for Best Townhome Development. More recently, the project scored a FortisBC Award for Excellence in Energy Efficiency for New Construction at the GVHBA Ovation Awards held in Vancouver.

“Adera aims to be a leader in sustainability, and these awards are further acknowledgment that we are building energy efficient, innovative homes,” says Adera president Norm Couttie.

The company’s commitment to sustainability is only rivaled by its love for outdoor West Coast living. At seven35’s recent opening, attended by North Vancouver Mayor Darrell Mussatto, Adera announced its support of BC Bike Race, a seven-day mountain bike adventure that takes riders from Vancouver to Whistler.

Adera intends to bring its commitment to sustainability and the LIVE WEST COAST philosophy to its upcoming project Remix, a contemporary urban ‘mashup’ of retail, commercial, and residential homes just a short walk away from seven35.
