Luxe Jewels Diamond Race

Last year was the first ever Lux Jewels Diamond Race and it was a huge success! For all of you who wished you had heard about the event sooner, now’s your chance to ENTER TO WIN a Princess Cut diamond and design your dream ring! That’s right all you have to do is enter (all fees go to charity) and you’ll have a really good chance at winning a Princess Cut diamond. Guys, this is your chance to save a lot of money and at the same donate to a worthy cause, all while having a ton of fun!

The Diamond Race is a one day event (May 26, 2012) where teams of two people race around the downtown and surrounding area of Vancouver competing against other couples. If you watch the show, or are familiar with the Amazing race you’ll have a good idea as to how it goes. Here is a video from last years event.

Teams are comprised of:

1) couples who want to get engaged including same-sex couples
2) anyone who is married but wants to upgrade their ring
3) anyone who is renewing their vows
4) anyone who has lost their ring and never replaced it
5) anyone who is in a committed partnership or common-law relationship

REGISTER your team NOW! Registration ends May 18, 2012.

Just like the popular reality TV show “The Amazing Race” teams will be given clues that will lead them to different destinations where they will be directed to perform a task, either together or by a single member.

This event will benefit the Rare Disease Foundation in honor of the late Mrs. Ram Kumari Bakshi.

  • 1/4 of these children do not live to see their 10th birthday

A little goes a long way:

  • RDF have raised and distributed $230,000 to microgrants that have gone on to raise 2.4 million dollars for initiatives started by RDF
  • Three rare disease have been diagnosed:
  • Complex facial hemangiomas

  • It is a place where all BC children with intellectual disability (mental retardation) will be screened for all 81 treatable causes of intellectual disability.
  • BC is the only place in the world that has such a facility
  • Each year 800 to 1200 new born in BC will suffer from Intellectual Disability (Mental Retardation)
