Parrot Island
Lewis Bennett’s second installment of his 12-month plan of producing a monthly short film follows Ray Parkes on “Parrot Island” (Peachland, BC). Ray runs a parrot sanctuary with his wife Valerie and a few volunteers. The facility is called Parrot Island. It was set up to take care of abandoned parrots and to help educate the public on why we shouldn’t be buying these birds.
