Pink Elephant Thai’s name honours old world Thai culture and tradition. In Thailand the white elephant is a symbol of divine and royal power, featured in Buddhist art and architecture, and loved by Thai people. One of my favourite restaurants in the city, I decided to team up with them to do a $100 gift card contest!

In contrast, the pink part represents all that is fun, sexy and hot. Hot pink that is. They offer an authentic innovative Thai menu utilizing authentic ingredients and techniques in new ways.

    Favourite food would have to be Pad Thai made with tamarind rather than the north american default to ketchup. Love the slippery noodles and bean sprout crunch with a few sweet prawns mixed in for good measure.

    My fave Thai food is prawns with colorful peppers + cashew nuts over rice!  I also like deep fried bananas and mango? ice-cream for a sweet Thai treat!
