Vancouver Canada News Development Buzz: MNP Office Tower Renderings

Most Vancouverites are quick to jump at the lack of architectural diversity in some of Vancouver’s buildings.  For the most part they are correct. However, lately a lot of proposals are coming through that breakthrough from the mundane and get a little daring. The most notable proposal is BIG’s residential tower (see renderings here). The MNP Tower (formerly 1021 W. Hastings) is another stellar building that is currently under construction in the city’s financial district. Nestled between The Marine Building and Guinness Tower, is the city’s finest office building proposal.

At first I was afraid that it would overshadow the famous Marine Building. However, after looking at the renders the building actually frames the iconic Marine Building well and thus does not take anything away from it. Some may argue it enhances it.

I absolutely love this building! It should be a few more floors higher though if you ask me. Glad to see office building activity pick up in the city.

Definitely enhances the Marine Building. Looks awesome!
