Wrapped Electrical Boxes Invade Downtown
Yesterday, Emily Carr University of Art + Design and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) ‘unwrapped’ the first of 12 newly re-purposed electrical boxes located on Granville Street to help curb graffiti while adding a public art collection to downtown Vancouver.
Each of the utility boxes located on the sidewalk along ten blocks between West Cordova and Drake Streets have been covered in a vinyl overlay with unique designs created by students from Emily Carr’s undergraduate programs.
