The Eastside Culture Crawl is the definitive Vancouver event in the fall. The crawl is a free  3 day event that showcases and involves artists in Vancouver’s Eastside. They open up their studio doors to the public to come take a peak at what they’ve been up to. The Eastside Culture Crawl started back in 1997 with 45 artists and couple hundred attendees in the eastside neighbourhood of Strathcona. Fast forward 15 years and the event has grown to include over 350 artists, craftspeople and designers and attracts 10,000+ visitors. It is the heart of the of East Van arts community on display.

The event focuses on areas between Main St., 1st Ave., Victoria Drive, and the Waterfront. It  involves painters, jewelers, sculptors, furniture makers, musicians, potters, writers, printmakers, photographers and more. It has artists that are emerging and those that are internationally established. The map below gives you an ideas at the sheer size of the artist community and event.
