The passing of Rick Rypien has been shocking to all and fans are coming out to mourn the NHL’s loss. A memorial has been set up at Rogers Arena in memory of the former Canuck and a Celebration of Life will be held there on Wednesday, August 17 at 2pm. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rick Rypien’s family and friends.

    For the record, Rypien was a former Vancouver Canuck NHL player who’d recently been picked up by the Winnipeg Jets.
