Vancouver Asian Heritage Month (Part 5)

Vancouver Asian Heritage Month is still well underway and this week, we feature some new upcoming events and remind you about some other ongoing ones!

This Saturday, May 21 the Vancouver Asian Heritage Month Society is organizing the first New Westminster Multicultural Festival which will take place from noon to 6pm at the Fraser River Discovery Centre and the River Market and Hyack Square.

The entire day is free and open to the public and will include Asian-Canadian musicians, a multicultural fashion show that hits the runway at 3 pm, a Vancouver Asian Heritage Month booth and interactive corner as well as education presentations throughout the day! The Generation: One Art Exhibition showcases Asian artists and their creativity and vitality. It is still open until June 26, at UBC’s Irving K. Barber Centre and is free to the public.
