Chin Injeti’s Birthday Bash @ Fortune
Head on over to Fortune on April 9th for a special edition of Experience as they proudly celebrate the birthday and accomplishments of one of our city’s very own, Chin Injeti.
There will be a special live performance by Chin with a live band. Plus with it being an Experience Saturday night Chin will be accompanied by some of his favorite DJ’s on the decks. Special guest DJ Hedspin alongside Experience residents Marlon J English and Rob Rizk.
In the Livestock Listening Lounge we have Dj Relik.
Chin is originally from Toronto but now a proud Vancouverite and has been one of this city’s bright spots through his quality work as a producer and songwriter plus genuine connection to the community.
Three months into 2011 and Chin has experienced a whirlwind of news and events. He’s already come back from the Grammy awards in February where he saw himself become a first time Grammy winner through his work on Eminem’s Recovery which won for Best Rap Album. For video game fans, Chin produced 5 songs that appear on the new EA Fight Night Champions game released this past month. Chin also recently joined Universal Music Canada’s new A&R team which was announced the week of the 40th Annual Juno Awards in Toronto. As a singer/songwriter Chin continued to satisfy his personal artistic thirst with the release of his solo EP, “Re’tach” back in February. “Re’tach” comprises of a reworked selection of songs from his 2010 release “D’tach”.
Not a bad start to 2011 considering what he accomplished in the two years prior. For example producing for the likes of Dr. Dre, Clipse, Drake and 50 Cent!
Somewhere between all this, Chin along with his partners at The Hastings Set launched a fundraising entity called S.I.N.G. – a collaboration between compassionate people, artists and organizations who believe that through the power of music we can create change and make a difference in the lives of those in desperate need http://www.facebook.com/helpsing
