Vancouver Model: Jillian Walchuk

Jillian is originally from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. She danced for twelve years in jazz, musical theatre and ballet. Jillian was discovered in a mall at the age of 12. While in University she was cast in her first film and because Ryan Reynolds was the co-star she decided to pursue modeling and acting and has never looked back.

She was Mischa Bartons stand in and double early in her career. Later she graduated from Vancouver Film School and trained at Actors Foundry, Shoreline, Lyric and Second Ave. She also graduated in Las Vegas from Bikram College of India and currently teaches yoga. Currently she works at Virgin Radio and takes part time broadcasting classes at BCIT.

Vancity Buzz: When did you get into modeling?

Jillian: I got into modeling when I was 12 doing fashion shows at local malls.

VcB: On your days off what do you like to do?

Jillian: I like to do yoga, read, hike, run, draw, go to the movies and of course dance.

VcB: What is your favorite thing about Vancouver?

Jillian: It has to be the Seawall.
