Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival

During those cold winter days, nothing beats a cup of hot chocolate. This year is the first annual Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival. The festival started January 15th and runs to February 13th. In support of their favourite charities, six top chocolate makers and one gelato guy will spike their hot chocolate drinks with the wildest, most delicious flavours they can dream up.

Although my personal favourite hot chocolate in town from Blenz Coffee isn’t involved, I will definitely make my way to each and every location to see what they can come up with. Plus it’s for a good cause so why  not.

View the complete calendar of flavours here.

The participants:

Bella Gelateria (1001 Cordova St.)

Campagnolo Cafe (1020 Main St.)

Cocoa Nymph (3739 West 10th Ave.)

Mink Chocolates (863 West Hastings St.)

Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France (198 East 21st Ave.)

Schokolade (2263 East Hastings St.)

Thomas Haas Chocolatier (998 Harbourside Dr. in  N. Vancouver & 2539 West Broadway)

Every day for the duration of the festival each participant is stirring up their own inventive take on hot chocolate.
