Now that the new year is here and the hangover’s are hopefully a thing of the past, one daunting task still remains, taking down the Christmas tree. Somehow it isn’t as much fun as putting one up. For those who opt for real trees you have the extra work of recycling your tree. You could just toss it in your neighbours yard and take your chances, or you can recycle it at the following locations:

Lions Club Christmas Tree Recycling|January 8 – 9, 2011

Locations:

Kerrisdale Community Ice Rink parking lot (East Boulevard north of 41st Avenue)
Kits Beach parking lot (Cornwall and Arbutus Street)
Sunset Beach upper parking lot (Pacific Boulevard and Broughton Street)
Trout Lake Community Centre (Victoria Drive and 15th Avenue)

Christmas Tree Recycling at UBC Botanical Gardens|December 26, 2010 – January 9, 2011
Location: UBC Point Grey Campus

City Recycling – Free Drop-Off Depots

Vancouver South Transfer Station, Recycling Depot & Yard Trimmings Drop-off

Curbside Recycling

Until January 31, 2011
