Coolest Twitter Moment or what is your favorite thing about Twitter?
I was interning at CBC News and shooting a story at Acme Cafe when @beipas (Ann Lee from MePlusFood.com) recognized me and tweeted a photo of me doing an television interview. When I got back to the newsroom, I saw the tweet that I had been recognized and thought that was pretty cool. It was one of the first times I was recognized out in public which is something I will never get use to.
Your best Tweet:
It seems so outdated now only a few weeks later, but when Premier Gordon Campbell announced his 15% cut income tax (which was just suspended and before he resigned), I tweeted “Your move @carolejames.” I think it’s still pretty relevant and clever regardless.
If you were a superhero, who would you be and why?
I’m a huge comic book fan and reader. I love Batman, but he’s way to dark and twisted. I’d probably have to say The Flash, because I’m always running around everywhere doing a million things at once on the go. He’s also relatively uncomplicated in his heroism like me. Sometimes, I am amazed at how much stuff I do everyday and how thoroughly I document it.
Your favorite place to eat in Vancouver?
I love Subeez Cafe on Homer street day or night. Everything on the menu is positively scrumptious. The place is cool and hip without being pretentious and they have good beer.
Something you do everyday?
I look and go through photos every single day. Not just my own, but I’m always looking at photos on Flickr, Tumblr, Google Images, and my favourite photo blogs. Cool photos always inspire me and I never tire of going through photos online.
On a Friday night, you will be:
Lately, I’ve been sleeping and catching up on work on Friday nights from being so exhausted and busy from during the week. But usually, I like to go out with friends and grab a beer and bite to eat usually Downtown to relax or unwind.
Recommend a fellow Twitterer that deserves some recognition:
It’s no secret, I think @yellowrainbootz (aka Angela Jung) is pretty fantastic. She’s a great Vancouverite who is an aspiring broadcaster and host. It’s pretty obvious she has a bright future ahead of her with her great videos. She’s super fun and funny as well as very personable at all the cool events she covers. Her tweets are usually worth checking out as they are a true extension of her charming personality. I think she’s a must follow for sure.
