Well it’s the second day of December and you all know what that means? Christmas is just around the corner and this year there are a lot of things going on in and around Vancouver. One of the cooler events that I will be attending is the Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Although I have not gone, but a few of my friends went a couple years ago and they said it was an absolutely amazing experience. Plus proceeds from the admission go to the BC Professional Firefighters Burn Fund, so it’s a double win. It’s Christmas after all and giving is better than receiving.

So in the spirit of giving, we at Vancity Buzz are going to giveaway a pair of tickets to two lucky readers. To enter simply retweet this post via this link (http://bit.ly/5oKbXG) @Vancitybuzz or comment on this post. You may do both to double your chances! I’ll draw the winners on Monday December 7, 2009.  For more info on the event continue reading.

Star light, star bright, it’s once again time for Canyon Lights! Capilano Suspension Bridge’s annual holiday tradition makes a shimmering return for 2009. From December 4 – January 2, guests can experience the bridge in a new and magical light, suspended and sparkling high above the canyon. Canyon Lights is a holiday favourite for the whole family and includes glass-blowing with local artist Malcolm MacFadyen, gingerbread cookie decorating, Kid’s Corner, and the merry melodies of the holiday band.

Proceeds from admission will be donated to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund, with a goal of raising $20,000 for the organization to support Burn Awareness Week in BC elementary schools. Come down and see the park lit up with lots of lights and holiday cheer.
